Linda Ledbetter has started a new challenge this week for Tim Holtz fans. You can get the full scoop at Linda's blog: Studio L3. Linda's starting us off with a technique Tim showed in his 2008 version of the 12 Tags of Christmas. We're meant to make it our own, so I tweaked it a bit and used different colors, stamps, etc.
I really love the look of the people stamp - it was stamped in Ranger's embossing ink on a piece of grungepaper, then heat embossed with black powder, then painted with some dry powder perfect pearls that had been spritzed on the craft mat. The picture doesn't do it justice but this technique creates a really nice patina. You'll get all the details on Tim's page... give it a go!
These stamps are Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous "The Journey" and the stencil is also by Stampers Anonymous. Inks were mostly distress with some Navy Staz-on for the stenciling and birds. The tiny letters are ancient K & Co.
Thanks for much for stopping by. Hope to see what you make too for Linda's new challenge!
