Trying to catch up this weekend on some soon-ending challenges (some as soon as TODAY!). This tag is for Challenge #110 at Gingersnap Creations, which calls for Gears, Cogs, and Watchbits, the July challenge at Inspiration Emporium, which asks for Embossing, and the July challenge at The Artistic Stamper, which calls for hot colors.
I started out inking a plain manila tag with Ranger's distress inks (yellow, orange, red, green, and brown) and then embossed it on my Vagabond using Tim Holtz's Gridlock embossing folder. It was pretty enough to be a bookmark all on its own with just the DIs and embossing.
Next I stamped a few flowers and stems (PaperArtsy) and the word (Inkadinkadoo) on a piece of a manila folder using Coffee Archival ink by Ranger. After I cut them out and colored them with the same distress inks, I curled the edges on the flowers before adding some metal bits to them. Popped the word up on foam tape and added some new black floral trim to top and bottom.
There's a week left in the Gingersnaps challenge if you care to play along, but today's the last day for Inspiration Emporium and The Artistic Stamper. I am skipping in under the wire as it's the last day of the month.
Thanks for the visit! Hope you have a great week.
