Updated 9/12/2011: Thank you Gingersnap Creations for naming me a Ginger Gem for this one!

There are dozens of interesting challenges online each week. I've decided I need to combine more of them so I can participate more frequently. This tag is for:
Gingersnap Creations GC#118 - Supply Challenge - Use a crimper
Everything Wendy Vecchi Yahoo Group - Use vintage text paper
Sunday Stamper Week #173 - Any resist technique
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
I started by inking a few old book pages with spiced marmalade and mustard seed distress inks, then tore one to lay over my tag and crimped it.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's an interesting read all in itself... sometimes you get boring pages, not that it matters!
I used a Wendy Vecchi large flower stamp over the other page and cut it out, then inked all the edges with black soot distress ink. The cool thing about the outline-style flower stamps is you can customize your flowers by stamping onto whatever design or pattern you choose.
Last step for those pieces was to ink both with Versamark and heat emboss with clear powder.
I colored the three mini tags the same way, handwrote the words, and heat embossed before adding the black metal eyelets. The flower on top is also by Wendy Vecchi and is colored/embossed the same as the rest.
On the black matte tag, I used Versamark with a Hero Arts text stamp followed by Perfect Pearls applied with a paint brush. The Versamark acts as a resist as you can see below.
I added a bit of bling and called it a day.
Thanks so much for the visit.
Hope you like this one as much as I do!
