The current challenge on the Everything Wendy Vecchi yahoo group is to use 3 or more grungepaper flowers and a perfectly pearled grungepaper object. I made a canvas and used lots of different Wendy stamps to make a background using forest moss and rusty hinge distress inks. I ran a Versamark ink pad around the edges and used black powder to heat emboss.
I christened that bottom right hand flower stamp (can you BELIEVE that is one stamp!?!?) on this project. I think it's my new fave. I used wild honey on the flower that has black edging and mustard seed on the patterned one... then smooshed the Versamark pad into the whole thing and used clear embossing powder. A wood sprocket (eBay) pops up the Tim Holtz word charm.
The two flowers on the top left are from Tim's Tattered Florals Alteration die, and the buttons are his as well. Did the same embossing to them as I did to the canvas. The skinny scrolls/flourishes are from his Elegant Flourishes die and the wider ones are from Wendy's Studio 490 set called Flower Art. I brushed lightly over the scrolls/flourishes with copper Perfect Pearls.
The sentiment is actually one stamp that I used in pieces. Unforunately, it is unmarked... I have no idea who made it. I carefully covered one half and stamped the other part on clear packaging. Then I put post-its on the part I had just stamped, and stamped the second half on another piece of clear packaging. Some Claudine Helmuth's Multi-Matte Medium (dries clear) keeps the packaging down. Before I glued it down I added a swipe of the copper Perfect Pearls behind the word "Creating". I love how that color is so close to the Rusty Hinge DI I used on Wendy's stitch stamp on the canvas.
I'm also entering this at the Our Creative Corner Challenge this week to meet their requirements of: Something Girly that includes a handmade flower + ribbon + bling.
Thanks for visiting! I appreciate it.
This wows me on all kinds of levels ... particularly like the splitting of the stamp and the accent embossing. Great job!

What a wonderful piece of work, Marjie! Beautiful colors and designer paper. I love what you did with the sentiment - separating and stamping on the acetate. And swiping the back of the sentiment with the copper Perfect Pearls was brilliant - super cool effect! So glad you joined in the fun with us this week at Our Creative Corner.
