Today's my first day on the design team for Our Creative Corner, and I have to admit my first challenge didn't come easily. Kristin Tierney is leading us in a challenge inspired by photos she took in Denmark. Click the link above to see all the glorious flowers she's based the challenge on... but note, no flowers are allowed in the actual challenge submissions. What a twist! The pinks and yellows are not my go-to colors, either, so I really had to think about this one. I started out pulling out all my pink and yellow supplies, and wound up looking at this:
What to do? I ended up thinking of all I could create with those supplies if I were a pink & yellow kind of gal, and then started thinking of my art stamps. I have a full drawer categorized that way, and when I opened the drawer the paintbrush stamp started saying "pick me!" So here, on the various brushes, I took Kristin's prompt and showed what materials I could use with pink and yellow distress inks, pigment inks, emobssing powder, fabric markers, colored pencils, acrylic paints, crackle paints, and dimensional pearls.
Lovely card and stamps! Challenges sometimes make us stretch! Hugs, Valerie
