This is my last project as a member of the Our Creative Corner design team. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with the lovely ladies at OCC, but I'm stepping down now as the term ends and keeping my dance card open for awhile. This 6-month gig has been a lot of fun. I've learned a lot and enjoyed the weekly deadline... that means 26 projects were set and met!
This week Lori Rider is hosting and she's provided this sketch:
I really had a tough time with doing a shaped card and kicked myself when I read Lori's post again last night (when the card was finished, and I was scheduling this post)... apparently as she wrote clear as day above... the shape could've just been part of it. It's a character flaw. I do this with recipes all the time and then halfway through realize I'm missing something. Anyway...
The papers are My Minds Eye, the rub-on is LYB, and the shapes are all from my Cricut. I stamped the red circles with black archival ink and a text stamp and wrapped up the stacked hearts for good measure before laying them down on pop dots.
I want to send a special shout out to Linda Coughlin, the CIC (Crafter in Chief) who keeps it all going at Our Creative Corner. Linda's artwork will blow you away.... you can see her blog here and she also has an etsy shop under the name the funkie junkie. She has a lot of unique stuff and now she's carrying a lot of Ranger products as well. I've purchased several times from her and the items all come wrapped and bundled in the most unique ways... you'll love your mail day if you order!
I'll also enter this in the "To the one I love" challenge at Anything Goes.
Thanks so much for visiting. Be sure to check out all the ideas on the OCC blog and play along this week if you can. Challenge is open through midnight on Friday, February 3rd.

I love that you are keeping your Dance Card open!!!
Such a wonderful card and the depth to the red is fabulous.
Thank you so much for your message of congratulations on my new DT position over at Oxford Impressions. Not sure when it will actually sink in LOL.

Marjie, I just love your card. I love all the little touches that give it some character! I think the script stamp on the cirlces keep them from looking flat, and the floss wrapped around the heart is soooo perfect!
good luck in the 'anything goes' challenge.
I will miss your unique and creative style. It was always refreshing to see your take on the challenge each week. You do beautiful work!
Take care, and I hope that you join us for a challenge soon. hugs, sharon w.

I think this would be one of my favourite cards Marjie ... the colours and the background script paper is really lovely, but that central heart and the wrapped twine is superb and really sets the scene beautifully on this card!
I'm gonna miss you my friend, it was great working with you and I always looked forward to seeing your interpretation of each challenge week after week ... your talent and creativity is amazing and I wish you well in your future endeavours.
