This is perhaps my favorite of all Tim classes ever... it's a 12X12 wall patchwork hanging. The kitting alone must've been an absolute nightmare... every piece was pre-cut and pre-adhesived for us! I learned some new techniques and was reminded of some I'd forgotten... we used almost every coloring product available and mixed and matched in really cool ways. Double click to see all the texture.
This tag booklet was fun to make and I loved walking around and seeing how differently everyone's came out. We had lots of hardware in our kits. The stencil #s die was one I thought I could live without, but I changed my mind after making this and it came home with me. The numbers are actually Movers & Shapers, so they can be positioned anywhere you like.
The foil tape has always been something I've avoided because I'm not into very 'shiny' stuff. I should've known Tim would have a way for us to distress it to something I'd love. This project reminds me of Tim Burton, too. I fell in love with the corner brackets and Tim's stitching technique. The # that came in my kit happens to be my anniversary date so I added the year with a Dymo labeler and made this a fiarly romantic heart for us, to be placed somewhere in our home.
Thanks so much for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful long weekend and offer my thanks to all the Veterans out there, and their families, for their service.
Marjie
TFS...all the projects look fabulous...of course I am extremely jealous ;)

what a great weekend you all had; that looks like so much fun.

All three projects turned out terrific. I love that your anniversary was incorporated into the Heart and Soul project that I'm so obsessed with. The tag book- Duh- that is what i need to do with all the tags from the compendium challenge. I made a book to hold each tag from the Creative Chemistry class but wanted something more fun or the compendium tags. As i mentioned before know I had seen the tag book before in a tim book but couldn't remember the exact directions- now It is all coming back- guess I need to dig up that book after all.

Very cool stuff Marjie. Looks like the class was a blast. I really love that metal heart. Would love to figure out how to make something like that! So happy to hear you have a new appreciation for the foil tape - LOL.
Have a great Memorial Day!
Hugs,
Linda

Wow! Looks like you had a grand time in classes. Love your projects! On the wall hanging - were the pieces embossed for you as well? Are they paper or Grunge? It just looks so interesting and I like your choice of colors!

@ Linda -- yes, all those grungepaper pieces were pre-embossed. Otherwise that 5 hour class would've been even longer!

Well GF, these are just all such awesome projects! I think I like the tag book the best if I had to choose! What fun! Enjoy your weekend!

Wow Marjie, that class was certainly packed with great things. I love those pulley feet on the third project but I think my favourite has to be the wall hanging, I can see lots of techniques and it must have been great fun to do. My green with envy was just wearing off - but now it's back! I am doing a class with Hels Sheridan tomorrow, all day, she does Tim and also Wendy V really well, hoping I can pick up a few more tips. Have a lovely weekend (long one for you I think?). Crafty hugs, Anne x

sounds more like a boot camp - but a pretty special one - fabulously creative products and great pieces to keep and admire... which is great as we all have cupboards full of non-starters!!! Lucky you girly! Thanks so much for calling by - you're a star at blogging visits... Just finishing up more projects - hoping to be all done by Thursday before the big stop...in theory - steering clear of BBQS in case someone puts my sausage legs on the grill...enjoy the weekend! Sarah.

Wow, allow me a few moments to pick my jaw up off the floor. . . These are amazing. I did double click on that first one and you were right about the texture! It must be amazing to take a class with Tim, and I can see that I would end up buying everything too, because he shows you so many cool ways to use it all. I only took the online class he offered and I still want most of the product line because he showed me all sorts of ways to use it.
I am so glad you got to go and experience this and I thank you for sharing it with us as well.
Hope you have a wonderful Holiday weekend,
Maureen

These are all so great Marjie, I can't wait to take the classes too! So excited! How cool that you got your anniversary date for the heart, I might have to take one with my anniversary too just so I can do the same haha! That heart is sooo cool, one of my favorites of Tim's classes. Did you take the charm class too? I'm jealous of that one, I would love to do charms with Tim.

Awesome! Love your projects and the explanations. I love to see how all the projects turned out. I just finished mine today, didn't get to walk around enough to see everybody's, too much 'in the zone' in our corner. I just love how Tim encourages everyone to improvise the project to make it their own. I ended up adding photos from the weekend to my tag book so it is a memory book from the whole experience.
