This week at Frilly and Funkie our challenge continues with the funkie gals showing their stuff. You can enter these challenges at any time over the two week run... regardless of whether you consider yourself frilly, funkie, or both.
Linda is hosting this week and she's chosen a photo for inspiration. So take a look at the beautiful parrot below and be inspired in whatever way your imagination takes you.
I went with a bird stamp ("A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song"), some Sizzix dies, a yellow feather, a bit of metal bling, and some burlap string, ribbons and fiber.
I used Linda's corrugated cardboard for my letters, then painted and inked them before attaching. I used the honeycomb and cracked texture fades on my tag, branch, and flowers.
Visit Frilly and Funkie to see all the other design team pieces. We'd love you to join us and see where the photo inspiration leads you. There's a $15 gift certificate to Linda's Funkie Junkie Boutique for a random winner, as well as a blog badge for the DT favorite.
Lots of brown brings me over to the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge this week. Here's the inspiration photo:
Thanks for visiting!
