I made this layout for our Journal It theme over at Unruly Paper Arts. We recently went to Italy and both my sons carried around sketchbooks, taking every chance they could to capture some of the amazing art and architecture. I was one happy mom working in my art journal while they worked in theirs!
I journaled on strips of patterned paper I ran through my printer. Papers, brads, and suitcase are from Bo Bunny, and the letters are Tim's Sizzix Wordplay die. I cut an extra set in grunge and mounted them to add some depth. The old fashioned pen is by A Stamp in the Hand. Everything is edged with distress inks.
Thanks so much for the visit. Please pop on over to UPA to see the other samples for this month's theme... it promises to be a very creative month!

Marjie
This is such a special LO, to see your sons sketching knowing that they share a love of art, it does not get more special than that.
Gorgeous aged appearance to this LO.

Goodness your Son must have loved it to back three times and how nice that tourists talked to him, bet he was encouraged by that. Your layout is beautiful, perfect colour of background to set the pics off to their best advantage. A x

Such a cool layout Marjie! Excellent that you've passed down the creative gene :) My daughter was "smashing" on the dining room table tonight while I was scrapbooking next door in my studio and it made me really happy to see her there with all her photos out etc and documenting her life :)
