Watercolor Dreams

I made this page on Friday at a class at Art is You in Connecticut... Joanne Sharpe was the instructor and we had a great day together.  The whole event was wonderful and well organized. I'll post more on my other classes soon but wanted to get this one in for today.  

It's on watercolor paper, with Dylusions ink sprays, water colors, water color crayons, Shimmerz, and India Ink.  I used the Ranger waterbrush to color in parts of the stencils.  Hope you've had a great weekend.  I'll post more about the other classes after I get settled in.

I love the india ink in this one. It's amazing how that simple black border makes the whole piece work. And the chevron stamp seems to be pointing to "dream". Very effective. Love the soft watercolor effect here, the pops of yellow and the use of white space. Really, really dreamy.

Thanks so much, Ladies! Brenda - yes, all my UK friends/enablers (plus Candy C!) have turned me onto Andy Skinner, and I'm signed up for an online class with him later this month. Can't wait!

And Buttons - yep - I gulped and went with it, and it was truly fun to freehand the word with the india ink. I'd have preferred it to be thinner, but I'm pleased with it as is. And always nice to come out of a class with something you like!
