Time to share my November page for Kate Crane's calendar project. I've used Tim Holtz's Faux Embossed Metal technique on this one, with lots of Perfect Pearls Mists from Ranger. In fact, pearls are the theme right now over at Simon Says Stamp & Show.
The shine on this one is pretty intense. I used Tim's Sizzix ticket dies and stamps on grey card stock to tone it down a bit. I have a full tutorial featured over on the Frilly and Funkie blog today showing how it came together.
Here's October all finished:
Power's still out. The President declared our county a disaster area yesterday which should help in getting help/restoration.
Thanks so much for the visit. I appreciate it!
Marjie

Hi Marjie love both projects here and popped by F&F to view the how to . Glad that you are well and the damage to your home was limited to the power. I send huge wishes to you. My heart goes out to everyone but especially those who lost their homes.
Take care and keep warm

These are so cool, Marjie! And I love how the date columns are vertical on the hexagon shapes as opposed to the standard horizontal rows. Next year I WILL follow along!

Marjie...your calendar pages are so cool. I really love them. Your November calendar page is equally as cool as the others, just in a different way. I love all of the texture and the die cuts. And the days of the month done in tickets is really clever! Thanks for sharing your calendar pages with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

Cool and arty, just like you.
Wonderful pages and great to see that you have managed to schedule a post.
Let's hope things get moving and that your President stands by his word (of course, I suppose that depends on who will be in power come Tuesday).
Wishes
Lynne

Hi Marjie - sensational pages, and a great step by step over at F&F, so glad you were able to schedule it amidst the crisis. Hope that help soon arrives to start putting things back to normal (and fingers crossed for the right outcome for the most help!)...

Both these pages are sensational, Marjie! I love the colors you chose...really appropriate to the month. November certainly has been grey and bleak so far here in NC, although we have crisp sunshine today. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with the aftermath of Sandy. Praying you will be home and restored to some semblance of normal soon.

Hi Marjie, saw it and commented over at F&F but also love the October calendar page, fabulous colours. I saw on the news that he had declared it a disaster area, hope that will help to get everyone sorted quickly and that you are each given everything you need to get back to normal soon. Crafty hugs, Anne x
