I broke in my new Donna Downey stamps while art journaling over the weekend. The new DD stamps are huge, and Kim has them all in the Eclectic Paperie store. I hope we see more XL stamps in the future... I really love having images sized for larger projects. The words are 4" long and the flowers are 8" tall!
This was a loose piece of Ranger Manila cardstock that I fit into my book with washi tape. It's colored with Dylusions Ink Sprays, Ranger Archival Inks, and loads of stamps and stencils. I used the hollyhocks stamp on this page and added clear embossing powder over the black ink:
Simon Says Stamp has a star theme going, and I used a star punch to jazz up my page border. I'll also link to Creative Every Day. Thanks for the visit!

I love the hollyhock border...that was the first thing that caught my eye. Then, I traveled up to ponder those beautiful words, and over to count the stars. Then, I came back down again to soak in all those lovely layered images and drink in the vibrant colors. I want to dream this piece...it is so lovely!

Wow, Marjie. You are GOOD with those colors and stamps. I'm starting to really love Dylusions sprays now that I've gotten over the fear of bright color. Fabulous journal page!

Gorgeous page - those words are just yummy (kicking myself I didn't get any now), and the colours and detail in that background is unbelievable! I've also been playing with DD hedgerow plants - with an entirely different look, obviously - coming to a blogpost near you soon!!

You really manage to create a depth that I've never seen. The embossing ink really pops the flowers. The stamps look like great fun too. Nice to have the larger size.
