This is my 200th post! I remember last December talking with one of my sisters saying I was thinking of starting a blog... in January I did... it's been a great year in blogland! For today's tag I followed the background technique Tim Holtz shares today for Day 9 of the 12 Tags of Christmas. I used evergreen bough, bundled sage, and gathered twigs distress inks. The ornament is a Dina Wakley stamp that I attached with Tim's hitch fastener and a 7 Gypsies #9 alpha paper clip. The letters are Tim's grungeboard inked with the gathered twigs and heat embossed.
Where Women Create is having a fantastic celebration right now with loads of artists featured, each of whom is sharing a giveaway. They've encouraged readers to donate something to the cause and I'm putting up a brand new chipboard "Believe" album by Bo Bunny. These books are great with their graduated letters... super fun for the holidays. To win, just leave a comment and be a follower. I'll draw a winner on Monday and I'll ship anywhere.
That's it for now. Don't forget to check out all the eye candy at Where Women Create.
Hope you're having a great day!
Marjie
Thanks to all for your extremely enthusiastic response to my give-away! I've clicked on each and every link and look forward to visiting your blogs and flicker accounts again. I hope you'll come back often.
The winner is... Lynne Moncrieff.
Lynne, I'm so happy to send you Tim's wonderful book, The Compendium of Curiosities! The ideas and techniques are completely inspirational.
Please send me your mailing address so I can get this off to you.

Thanksgiving is only one month away, but it's going to come even sooner for someone.... I'm giving away a brand new copy of Tim Holtz's amazing technique book, The Compendium of Curiosites. If you don't have it, trust me... you need it! And if you already have it, you know it will make a terrific gift for a good friend. This is a 75-page hardcover book full of techniques that will bring out all your creative instincts.
My husband received an email recently from Amazon that mistakenly listed this beautiful book and two of Tim's older ones as new releases. My sweet guy bought them for me thinking he'd surprise me. Of course he now knows if Tim has released something, it's a pretty good bet mighty sure thing I've already ordered it! My crafty family and friends all already own the book so I thought why not offer it up as blog candy?
You have up to 5 chances to win:
1 - leave a single comment here
2- become a follower (link at right)
3- mention my giveaway and link to me from your blog (you can use the Halloween Giveaway blog button at right courtesy of Cindy Adkins ~ thank you so much, Cindy!)
4- become a Facebook friend (link at right)
5- follow me on Twitter (link at right)
Be sure to let me know which ways you're joining in! This giveaway will be open for seven days.
It is open to all countries (my last blog candy went to a crafter living in Germany!)
I'll announce the winner on Halloween. Good luck!
Marjie
I can't believe this is my 100th post since starting blogging. Time flies! I'm thrilled I finally jumped on the blogging bandwagon. I've met many incredibly talented people and such warm and encouraging artists along the way. I love visiting all the blogs and appreciate when visitors come over here... I've had visitors from 39 different countries so far!
To celebrate my big number, I thought I'd give away some Tim Holtz products, as you know I believe everyone needs a little extra Tim on their worktable! The prize package consists of four never opened products: Mixed Mini Grunge (342 pieces!), Ideology Word Muse Tokens, Ideology Numerals, and Ruler Ribbon.
I'll pull a random winner on Friday. All you need to do is be a follower.... if you want an extra chance, just link to me in your blog telling about my giveaway. (And remember to tell me you did so I'll put an extra ticket with your name on it in the hat.) This contest is open to everyone - I will ship internationally.
Thanks so much for your encouragement and support. Your comments really brighten my day!
[You know, I don't have any of Tim's letter dies ... that's just wrong! lol Thanks for the opportunity to win these, Marjie! (I'm already a follower - just not so good at actually staying on top of it! lol)]
